I have been in the business for eight or so years and enjoyed every minute of it. I run Realty Ohio, my current brokerage. I take care of everything from the website to making sure all the print servers work.
I enjoy real estate as I am a very social person, not to mention my inability to sit still. It gives me the chance to make my own schedule but also frees me from sitting at a desk for eight or nine hours a day.
Today I make my living selling foreclosure property. I believe that you should always be looking for a deal especially when searching for something like a home. In today’s market there is not shortage of these types of homes. If you’re willing to put in a little work, say putting in new carpet, painting, repairing drywall, then you can get an awesome property and make some money at the same time.
As I just said foreclosures are a main part of my business, but not all. I am very good at selling normal property because of my knowledge of the internet. Mass marketing along with internet advertising has become a staple of the real estate business today and I am fluent in this medium.
A little background on myself.
I am from the Westerville area. I was born in Columbus and so far have lived here my entire life. I grew up in Westerville and attended Westerville City School. I graduated from Westerville north and attended Otterbein College.
I am also a trained bass player. I started a little over 15 years ago and have been playing ever since. I was originally trained to play classical with experience in the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestras as well as some appearances with the CSO themselves. I also started learning jazz and a multitude of other types of music to help broaden my ability.
Today my hobbies consist mainly of music. I am still an avid jazz musician and symphony man but a lot of my time is spent in rehearsal with local bands. I play with a few cover bands, some original music and also a jazz combo called RSVP. Backpacking has also become a great hobby and just general fitness. I enjoy the gym and being active as much as possible. That’s either because I have a strong drive, but most likely because I enjoy being busy.
