Red Roof In Returning

Just a little post about Red Roof Inn. They were a local company for a long time, then were moved to Dallas Texas, and have now moved back.

Red Roof Inn left Columbus in 1999 after more than 20 years of having it’s headquarters in Columbus. Accor North America Inc. bought Red Roof Inn and moved the headquarters to Dallas Texas. Accor just sold Red Roof Inn and the new owners have decided to move Red Roof Inn back to Columbus.

Red Roof Inn got a huge tax benefit from the city of Columbus. With it totaling $550,481 it’s not a surprise they are making their home here once again. The benefit could have been used for moving back to their Watermark Island offices but they decided to move it’s base of operations downtown to the brewery district. This is great news for Columbus. Not only does it bring another chain’s headquarters back to Columbus but the company has also stated that they plan to add 80 jobs in up coming months.
